July Wine Dinner at The Mesquite Chop House Downtown.

The "Get Stuffed" wine dinner at the Mesquite Chop House Downtown was a major success! Everyone enjoyed the four courses that were stuffed with everything from almonds to crab meat! Be sure to join us next month for the Silver Oak wine dinner!

First course featured bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with almonds toped with a Farmer's Market Fruit Relish and accompanied with baby spinach. First course was served with Hogue Gewurztraminer Washington State 2007.

As a seconded course, guests enjoyed crab meat stuffed flounder with a Seafood Newburg Sauce and crispy fried spinach. Second course was served with Robert Mondavi Private Selection Pinot Grigio California 2007.

Third course was a savory Mesquite grilled pork tenderloin and Root Vegetable Wild Rice topped with a Rosemary Port Wine Demiglaze. Guests enjoyed Solaire by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet was Mondavi's last creation before he passed.

Jim LoSapio lent a helping hand in dishing up dessert: Macerated Jones Orchard Peaches with sweet cream and lady fingers. Dessert was served with Rosa Regale' Brachetto d' Acqui 2007.

The Westmorlands toasted with Mondavi Pinot Grigio over second course.
