Downtown Wine Dinner

This is Porter Allison with Star Distributors. Porter was our host for the August Wine Dinner, and what a dinner! We had a good mix of regulars and new faces this month. Check out the photos of the food below and we know you will want to join us in September.

Our first course was Sea Scallops marinated in a Orange and Lime Citrus toss with a mix of Avocado and Tomato Relish, served with Purple Corn Chips and Sirachi Aioli, Paired with Matanzas Creek Chardonnay.

Our Second course was a Heart of Romaine grilled and topped with Green Goddess Dressing, Bacon, Tomatoes and young Leeks. Paired with Conumdrum Chardonnay.

And the third a Pan Seared Paillard of Veal topped with Crawfish and Bearnaise Sauce, accompanied by grilled Asparagus and grilled Sweet Red Bell Peppers. Paired with Stags Leap Petite Syrah.
last but not least, a Double Chocolate Orange Torte paired with Far Niente Dolce.

Southaven- August Beer Dinner

Cocoa and Coffee Dusted Medallions of Beef with a Sweet Potato Casserole and served with the Mocha Porter

Triple Chocolate Bread Pudding Ala Mode served with the Chocolate Stout

Everyone really had a good time!

Southaven-Patio Parties Every Thursday!

If you have not been to our Patio Parties in awhile.....COME ON OVER!!!! We are having so much fun lately. Of course we have live music, great martinis, our house infused vodkas and quarter oysters........but now, we also offer a complimentary appetizer buffet! The weather has been fabulous the past few weeks and as you can tell, people are having a GREAT time.
Music starts at 7pm
Appetizers at 7:30pm
Fun Doesn't End until 1am!!!!!

Southaven- August Wine Tasting

Our August Wine Tasting was absolutely marvelous! The wine and food pairings were beyond compare, Josh really outdid himself with this menu. We had a nice group of thirty people and you can tell from the pictures, everyone had a great time.
Here is what we had!
Bogle Vineyards Chardonnay paired with Smoked Chicken Salad with Almond and Apple Chips served with Crostini
Bogle Vineyards Red Zinfandel paired with Red Bell Peppers stuffed with Smoked Gouda,
Rice and House-Ground Ribeye
Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah paired with Mesquite Grilled Swordfish topped with a Mediterranean Ragu (This one had everyone talking, the Ragu had fresh tomatoes, capers, and a variety of greek olives! It was a perfect pairing with a bold Petite Sirah. Yummm!)
Silvan Ridge Early Muscat Dessert Wine paired with Fresh Peaches in a Puff Pastry and topped with a Peach Glaze.

Our next Wine Tasting is on September 3rd at 6:30pm.
